The grievances of the employees are addressed in various associations and forums functioning in the University:

Anna University Grievance Redressal Cell

In order to ensure transparency and to provide a mechanism to staff and students for redressal of their grievances, Anna University established a mechanism for Grievance Redressal Committee as per the AICTE - "12.0 - Guidelines for establishment of Grievance Redressal Mechanism". This committee enquires into the grievances of the Staff (Teaching & Non-Teaching) and Students

Prevention of Sexual Harassment Cell (PoSH)

PoSH Cell, Anna University continuously works to build and maintain an atmosphere free of sexual violence, harassment, exploitation, and intimidation for teaching, non-teaching staff, and students by conducting continuous awareness programs for ensuring pleasant work experience for all stakeholders in the work place.

SC/ST Cell, Anna University

This cell was established under the guidance of UGC in 1988, with the following objectives:

  • To implement the reservation policy for SC/STs in the Universities and Colleges
  • To collect data regarding the implementation of the policies in respect of admissions, appointments to teaching and non-teaching positions in the universities, and in the affiliating colleges and analyze the data showing the trends and changes towards fulfilling the required quota.
  • To take such follow up measures for achieving the objectives and targets laid down for the purpose by the Government of India and the UGC.
  • To implement, monitor and evaluate continuously the reservation policy in Universities and colleges and plan measures for ensuring effective implementation of the policy and programme of the Government of India.
